About this Event
While the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over, many major metropolitan areas across the U.S. have begun to reopen businesses, buildings and construction sites, giving us a first look at what the ‘new normal’ might be for the building industry. While the situation is evolving day by day, leaders from the USGBC community have been putting in place policies and implementing new practices to ensure safe re-entry and safe working conditions for their tenants, clients and project teams. Join us on July 29th for a moderated panel with experts in workplace design, construction, facility management and property development to discuss real-time conditions they are seeing in their buildings, projects and client meetings.
Our panel will share what they see as the current challenges for their clients and their staff across multiple jurisdictions, each with different reopening plans and local requirements. We will explore pandemic’s short- and long-term effect on energy use and sustainability planning. Property owners and managers will share what they’re hearing from tenants and discuss the cost of added technologies, cleaning supplies, PPE equipment, on-site staff screening, and energy use related to IEQ management.
Panelists with address how their companies are working to ensure employee health and safe transportation to and from work. Moderated Q & A to follow.
